About Racing Cages


Racing Cages, Inc. has extensive experience in designing, prototyping and building race cages, as well as many other racing parts.


Racing Cages, Inc., has been selected by MAZDASPEED MOTORSPORTS DEVELOPMENT to design and build the full race cage that is used as the ‘spec’ cage in the SCCA Pro Racing Playboy Mazda MX-5 Cup.




Racing Cages, Inc, uses DOM (Drawn Over Mandrel) tubing for our race cages. We use a size appropriate for the vehicle, to make the safest cage possible, while saving weight to keep your car competitive. Safety is never sacrificed to achieve a weight goal though.




 


The MX-5 cage uses 1.5" x .120" wall DOM tubing. The bases are laser cut and computer folded. All cages are fixture welded and pre-fitted before shipping.



There are cut templates for the dash pad. A plate to mount your main power switch is pre-installed. There is no need to remove the dash, just a little trim on the glove box door base to allow the cross bar to pass through the underside of the dash.



The original driver's door bar shown has been re-engineered and will now include a double crush zone. DVD Instructions included.
